Infinite Labs Joint Support Review

One of the biggest concerns of athletes and people who are approaching the later stages of life is maintaining healthy joints. Having healthy joints is something people often take for granted, but when their joints get injured or overexerted, the pain and disability can be significant.

Infinite Labs created its Joint Support supplement to protect people’s joints from the natural wear and tear of aging as well as the stress of high-impact athletic performance.

Infinite Labs claims the product promotes healthy joint function, cartilage, balance of synovial fluid in the joints and joint strength and flexibility.

To verify these claims, I researched Joint Support and the product’s ingredients to see if the product is capable of actually enhancing joint health in people who use it.

What’s Inside Joint Support?

The main ingredients in Joint Support include glucosamine sulfate, MSM (methylsulfonylmethane), white willow bark extract and ginger root extract. Additional ingredients include boswellia serrata extract, turmeric extract, cayenne and hyaluronic acid.

What Is the Recommended Dosage?

Infinite Labs recommends people take 3 tablets of Joint Support at a time, preferably with a meal, to achieve the full effects of the supplement. There are 45 servings per container.

Is Joint Support Safe?

As with any dietary supplement, people should use caution when taking Joint Support, especially if they have a history of allergies or sensitivities to any of the ingredients used to make the product.

In addition, pregnant women or women who are nursing should avoid using Joint Support, as the ingredients may be passed on to the child.

Glucosamine Sulfate

The most prominent ingredient in Joint Support is glucosamine sulfate, as it contains 1500 mg of the chemical. Glucosamine sulfate is actually produced naturally and is found in people’s joints.

In dietary supplement form, glucosamine sulfate is often produced in laboratories. WebMD states the chemical is “likely effective” for treating osteoarthritis and for relieving pain of joint breakdown. [1]

In addition, WebMD also states the chemical is as effective at reducing joint pain as most over-the-counter pain relievers like Tylenol, NSAIDs, Advil and others.

However, it’s important to note glucosamine sulfate isn’t approved by the Food and Drug Administration for medical use in humans, and there are no completed clinical trials that support evidence it is effective at reducing joint pain or swelling or promoting joint health.

Methysulfonylmethane (MSM)

MSM is a natural chemical present in almost all living organisms, including plants, animals and humans. Like glucosamine sulfate, it can also be made in laboratories. WebMD reports MSM is “possibly effective” at treating the symptoms of osteoarthritis of the knee, including pain and increasing range of motion.

The chemical is also likely to be effective at reducing physical stress and damage brought on by exercise. [2]

In addition, MSM may have anti-inflammatory effects, which would make it beneficial for helping to repair stressed or torn tissues in the joints and ligaments [3].

White Willow Bark Extract

The third major ingredient in Joint Support is white willow bark, which has a similar mechanism as aspirin in helping to reduce pain. That’s because a chemical inside the plant called salicin is chemically similar to the composition of aspirin.

According to WebMD, willow bark is possibly effective for treating lower back pain. However, it goes on to state there is insufficient evidence it treats osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and joint pain. [4]

While some people may experience relief from those conditions by consuming white willow bark, more studies are needed to determine if it is truly effective at treating joint and bone-related conditions.

Ginger Root Extract

Ginger root extract is similar to white willow bark extract, as both are plants which contain chemicals used to treat a variety of health conditions, including arthritis, muscle soreness and joint pain.

Ginger root extract is possibly effective for treating arthritis since research shows ginger can reduce pain in people who have the condition. Other studies show the plant has similar effectiveness in reducing pain as medications like ibuprofen. [5]

However, WebMD doesn’t mention ginger root extract is proven by any studies or trials to treat joint pain or improve joint health. It’s likely any pain relief people experience after consuming the plant is due to its overall pain-relieving properties.

Does It Work?

While Joint Support and many of its ingredients may not be scientifically proven to be effective at treating joint pain or improving joint health and mobility, there is anecdotal evidence and a number of reviews online to suggest the product works on some level for many users.

User Macekonarik said after taking Joint Support for one week, the pain in his elbows was gone, while jordansrt said the product “will make a big difference in your bench pressing and any other compound lift” for people who have joint aches.

The lack of scientific evidence may be concerning for you, especially if you want proof a product works before you purchase it.

However, the positive reviews, combined with the anecdotal evidence about the effectiveness of Joint Support’s ingredients makes me believe this product could do exactly what it claims to do: protect and improve the health of your joints.
